Princess Sylvie

I'm not sure how it happened...but my little girl turned 3.  Since she is currently completely obsessed with all things princess, a princess party it had to be!  I absolutely love planning a good birthday party!  However, living in Chicago and planning a party in KC is tough.  My parents were gracious enough to offer up their home for the bash, which had they known the amount of gold glitter that was going to be involved they might have changed their minds.  After lots of crafting and way too many ETSY purchases everything came together perfectly in a pink and gold princess dream!  I handmade the food name cards, Franci and I made the tutu gift bags for the girls, I made the pink rag banners,  Christina made the lace and burlap banner, and to top it all off I glittered picture frames, vases and a giant S (and most of my mom's house).  There were prince and princess crowns, wands, and jewelry around the house for all the kids to play with.  But it turned out the adults had just as much fun with the dress up clothes as the little ones!  My mom and Cole's mom made some dips while I made pb&j sandwiches and used cookie cutters to cut them into crowns.  I also had the great idea to make fruit wands that wouldn't be complete without the star on top.  Unfortunately I didn't get the right size cookie cutter so Cole was sweet enough to hand cut the cantaloupe stars, he only made it through three then decided people would get the point.   On the sweets end I'm lucky enough to have two good friends who make the best sweets!  Blair knocked it out of the park with the perfect "Belle" cake that Sylvie had been asking for.  She seriously lit up when she saw it!  And Christina did her sugar cookie and cake ball thing better than I've ever seen her do!  YUMMMMMMM!  All of Sylvie's little friends were able to come celebrate with her and I really think she had an amazing time playing with everyone!  She still to this day tells strangers at the park about her princess party :)  We are so lucky to have such incredible family and friends who love our little lady to pieces!!
Now here are WAY TOO many photos...don't say I didn't warn you.

Poor Magnus slept through most the party and missed out on most of the pics

This was when she first spotted the cake!
