Pouf

Sylvie really had her "model" face on today!  Seriously cracks me up when she gets so serious for the camera!  I've been in love with the moroccan poufs and finally broke down and got one!  My plan was to keep it at the studio for awhile then possibly move it to Sylvie's room once it'd done it's studio time.  However, the second I opened the box Sylvie screamed, "I LOVE it!  It's for my new room!  Let's take it up!"  Sooooooo I have a feeling it will be making some trips back and forth across town.  Is it not the most perfect photo prop though??
People often ask me if their kids are the only ones that go rouge during a photo shoot.  I assure you, the answer is no!

9 months

Magnus has officially been out in the world longer than he was in my belly!  Can't believe this sweet baby boy is 9 months old!  Magnus got sick for the first time this month with double ear infections, which also made him develop a terrible diaper rash.  He went through three antibiotics and finally after many sleepless nights and days got better!  He started loving to clap this month and looks so proud with himself as he does it.  He decided he doesn't like being fed with a spoon anymore and loves eating small bites of real food.  When he first decided this he couldn't actually pick up the food, it was cute watching him try though.  It took most of the month but he finally has gotten great at picking the food up and actually getting it into his mouth without help.  I'm pretty sure I'm his favorite person, make that POSITIVE I'm his favorite :)  He can get pretty sad when I leave, and anytime I return he about jumps out of the arms of whoever has him and starts grunting loudly with excitment and huge smiles!  He loves to give me what I call kisses.  This is where he basically attacks my cheek or chin.  I also get lots of hugs around the neck and sweet sweet cuddles.  Along with pulling up he started being able to get to the standing position without grabbing on to anything.  One night I was cooking dinner and looked over and he was just standing by himself in the middle of the kitchen.  It cracks me up!  He will just stand there looking so happy, feet glued to the ground, then do some squats and stand back up!  He's also cruising around objects like the coffee table and chairs and loves to push his push toy across the room.  He of course puts everything in his mouth and loves to babble.  Magnus is in size 4 diapers, 12-18 or 18-24 month clothes, size 3 or 4 shoes, weighs 23lbs (90%) and is 80% for height, still only has 2 bottom teeth, takes 2-3 naps and is still up every 3-4 hours at night.  Happy 9 months buddy boy!!

sunshine!

We are so ready for spring!  Nothing is better than taking advantage of a nice day and playing outdoors with these two crazies!  We aren't used to having a yard so our only outdoor toy is a pink soccer ball.  Good thing Sylvie has a great imagination and Mags just likes to stand and watch big sis :)

Sylvie has been really into picking a necklace to wear with her outfits most days.  This time it actually matched!  Magnus was pumped to get to wear his "Made in Chicago" shirt which he got when he was born from our Chicago friends to remind him of his roots.  No I did not intentionally coordinate their yellows :)

3.5

My baby is THREE AND A HALF years old today!   WOW!  To celebrate we enjoyed the 70 degree day and got cupcakes to eat outside.  While she was carefully eating all the icing off of the cupcake she looked at me and said "Don't you want to sing to me?"

She is such a joyful little lady!  I could spend all day (and often times do) just staring at her, soaking every little part of her in.  She literally makes me laugh out loud all the time and has the funniest personality.  She can be the sweetest girl or the sassiest girl at the drop of a hat.  She's somewhat shy around strangers at first, but is starting to be more outgoing.  Around people she knows she talks pretty much non-stop in what most would agree is the HIGHEST pitched voice on the face of the earth!  I love that voice, even though sometimes it's so high I can barley hear it.  Her laugh is contagious and her face so expressive.  She is the best big sister and really loves her whole family!  Some of her favorites activities these days are….
family dance parties (she's got some killer moves)
playing with Magnus (trying to pick him up usually)
tea parties
watching "cwips" of Frozen on the computer and singing along
cooking in her play kitchen
helping mommy & daddy cook
playing pretend and making mommy be a doggy or baby
going to JayVivi's house

She has an incredible imagination and can have a whole playtime going with not a single object.  Her imaginary dog Rudy is usually around which is funny since she is terrified of any animal, especially dogs.  She is very motherly and loves to let you know when she's doing the right thing.  Some of my favorite Sylvie words/phrases are…
"cucapes" (cupcakes)
"I haven't done that in awhile weeks ago"
"chastip" (chapstick)
"friky" (uses in place of words like weird or strange)
"Olmaf" (what she calls the Frozen character Olaf
"moogis" (music)

She is in size 3T clothes and some 4T pants.  She sleeps in her big girl bed and is potty trained during the day and night.  She loves to eat "noodle pasta" (pasta with truffle oil and parmesan cheese), chicken patty (vegetarian chicken), any type of fruit, smoothies, and of course anything sweet.  Lucky for me Sylvie loves having her picture taken and puts on quite the show for the camera.  Her favorite books are  the Talulah Tutu's series.  She's a skinny mini with long legs.  Her bed head is absolutely unmatched very similar to daddy's.  We love our little Sylvie Ann!
