World Series Parade

We can always say we were there!  The 2015 Royals World Series Parade was definitely memorable!  I was there strapped in a baby carrier at only 6 months old when they won in 1985, so it was very special for me to get to take Poppy to the same parade 30 years later strapped in a baby carrier at 7 weeks old.  We braved the crowds with 5 adults and 5 kids and no idea of what we were getting ourselves into.  We were lucky enough to quickly catch a bus in Brookside which took us straight to Crown Center.  There we were quickly met with more people and blue than we'd ever seen.  We couldn't get very far with our big crew, and ended up just barley being able to see the players as they rode by.  The kids had fun being together but seemed a bit confused at why they couldn't get a front row seat.  When it was over we walked a crazy distance then finally grabbed a cab and sent Mom and Cale on their way...still walking.  Overall we were all glad we went (Cole's still not sure it was worth it) but pretty sure next time we'll leave the kidos home :)  GOOOOOO ROYALS!!!  And thanks to Cale-Pa for bringing his camera to document the madness!

soccer stars

We had another great soccer season!  Jay did much better this year at staying on his feet and not tackling, and Sylvie was much more confident this year and super happy to be running on the field.  Jay scored more goals than we could keep track of, Sylvie scored a few and one very exciting goal for the wrong team!  Sylvie would spend most of the game running after the ball (which she hardly ever actually caught) with the biggest smile you've ever seen.  She was Jay's biggest cheerleader and every time he scored you would've thought it was her by her reactions of jumping up and down yelling!  They had a wonderful time playing together and we had a great time watching... and giggling at the madness!  Thanks to Cale Pa for the great action shots!

leaves

We had some beautiful leaves this fall!  Sylvie and Magnus loved playing in them and made good use of their little kid rakes!
Before our annual Friendsgiving dinner at the Smiths!
