Christmas 2013

I realize this is over a month late…but better late than never!
We had such a fun Christmas day filled with lots of family, presents and smiles!  For the first time we spent the night at our own house Christmas Eve and got to wake up and do "Santa" presents Christmas morning.  Cole and I had a great time playing Santa!  He did all the building of the  toys while I kept our champagne glasses full and spent way too much time arranging the finished products under the tree.      When we woke up Christmas morning Sylvie was so excited to go downstairs and see what Santa had brought her.  This was the fist year she really understood what was going on and it made it so much fun for us!  She was thrilled to see her doll house and baby bunk bed (which she had asked for) but immediately realized the last item on her list, a big bunk bed, didn't make it under the tree.  Pretty sure Magnus loved his new chair too.  After checking out the Santa gifts, stockings and opening presents from mommy and daddy we headed over to Aunt Dana and Uncle Mikey's house for a Christmas brunch.  Lots of food and presents happened there and all four of the kids were on their best Christmas behavior.  To end the day we drove down to Windsor and believe it or not opened MORE presents and had more Christmas fun!  Everyone was exhausted by the end of the day but it was definitely the best Christmas yet!  Now on to a zillion photos...

Tea Time

Pretty much all Sylvie wants to do these days is have tea parties!  The food she makes varies, the guests come and go, and her imagination goes crazy! I stumbled upon this amazing old iron kids table today when I was shopping for props at a Parkville antique store.  I took one look at how girly it was and  knew Sylvie would love to have it for her tea party table!  She screamed when I got home with it!  We moved  her old table into the breakfast nook for her (and Magnus when he gets bigger) to eat at and let the tea party begin!
Her dress of choice was Cinderella complete with matching shoes and crown.  Her guest for today was Elsa (from her new fav movie, Frozen).  The menu consisted of tea (she actually filled the teacups with Mag's puffs), "avocado pie" (a large mound of play dough that she spent forever preparing), and cake.
It was a success and Elsa gave all her food to Sylvie :)
