Magnus turned one with one heck of a County Fair birthday bash! I had a blast planning his 1st birthday party and loved how it all came together! There was a ton of red gingham, yummy fair food like corn dogs, soft pretzels and popcorn, pie in place of cake for the birthday boy, cotton candy party favors, and even a hot dog hair clip for big sister Sylvie. The kids loved taking "hayrides" in Mag's new wagon from his Mimi and Pa & Other Mimi and Boppy, taking "pony rides", and the pretend petting zoo. I made a bunch of rag banners and a ONE high chair banner for decorations and wrapped anything I could get my hands on in tickets and/or burlap. We used an old quilt from Cole's parents as the backdrop for the photo booth. The big guy loved his birthday pie made with love by his great grandma (aka Other Mimi). She's always made pies for the family for as long as I can remember, so it was very special for her to make Mag's cherry pie! He took small bites and was so calm about the whole thing, then of course wanted to feed anyone who came near. Christina made the amazing sugar cookies and popcorn shaped cake balls, Cole and Sylvie made the mini pudding pies, and my mom made the yummy cupcakes! Thanks to everyone who came to wish Magnus a happy birthday!!! He had so much fun and wasn't even crabby despite not napping. We are beyond lucky to have so many wonderful people who love our baby boy!! Happy 1st birthday Magnus!! Ready for a picture overload????
