Turning FIVE!

With my due date being the same date as Sylvie's was, and knowing I would most likely have the baby early just like Sylvie, we did her birthday a little different this year.  Her and Jay combined birthdays and had a small party for all their joint friends from playgroups at the park.  They had a great time and thought it was so neat to share a party...as long as they could each have their own cake (fairies and pirates).
I can't believe my baby girl, the one who made me a mommy is now 5!!!!  An entire hand of fingers!!!  She's starting Pre-K and is pumped about going to school.  She has developed the funniest personality and loves to try to be as silly as possible and is constantly giggling.  She is incredibly independent, head strong, stubborn, whatever you want to call it, this girl knows exactly what she wants and how she wants to do it...her own way! She is pretty dang regimented and structured (which we all know did not come from me).  She is very motherly and loves playing with babies and younger kids.  She's tall and thin with the scrawniest longest legs that already makes finding jeans tough!  This gal can be super sassy and shy or the sweetest most outgoing thing.  You just never know which Sylvie you are going to get!  Her current obsession is playing with barbies and her doll house.  She could play alone in her room for hours!  She has the best imagination and would be perfectly content just playing with something as simple as a rock! She learned to ride a bike without training wheels this summer so loves to cruise around the neighborhood on that or her scooter.  We love this girl so much and are so blessed to get to be with her every day!
On Sylvie's actual birthday we had our traditional orange roll age shaped breakfast and gift opening.  She loved her barbies and barbie pool and 2 wheeled scooter.  The barbies needed to take a dip immediately following breakfast :)  Then for dinner it was her choice and what do you know she picked her favorite.... Kansas City Joy's (known to most as Lulu's).
